This idler sprocket kit, also known as a tensioner sprocket, is designed for use with aerators and features a sprocket and all of the necessary hardware to install it, including 2 metal washers, a securing nut, and bolt. The purpose of this sprocket is to guide and add tension to the drive chain of the aerator engine and reduce noise and vibration. Check your user manual for the exact location of this genuine OEM sprocket in your engine, but it is generally located near the main drive chain/belt.
