I think I have a broken spring how do I access it?

Hi Brian,
Thank you for your question! In order to access the spring you will need to remove the control panel. If you pop off the top grill vent you will expose the screw holding the control panel in place.

Push button door button does not open door. Do i need a new spring and how do i access the door button.

Hello Don, Thank you for the question. The only way to know for sure the spring is needed, is to open up the control panel to see if it has broke or just came off the post. You will need to remove the outer cabinet to the appliance to expose the crews that hold the control panel in place. Hope this helps, good luck with this repair!

I believe my door latch spring may be failing. I usually have to push and hold the button and sometimes pull on the door before my microwave opens. Could this be something other than the spring? Sometimes a normal press on the button works.
