Lock Rod 781-0690

This lock rod, or latch rod, is a component in your log splitter that allows you to adjust its orientation from horizontal to vertical or vice versa. To determine if the lock rod is broken, inspect it for bend or cracks. If you do not replace a broken rod, the log splitter may be prone to unexpected movements or changes in position while in use. To remove the existing lock rod, disengage the lock mechanism by releasing any securing washers, springs, or caps.
