How do i replace the inner door? Is it difficult?
For model number PDW8200N00BB
Hello Robert, Thank you for your inquiry. You would just need to remove the torx head screws from the panel, then disconnect the wire harness that goes to the soap dispenser inside. Make note or take a picture of how the harness connects. Also undo the screws that hold the harness that goes to the control panel, you may need a nut driver for this. Next pull out the soap dispenser (we have a video for this under part# PS958966) and take the vent cover off. Transfer the pieces to the new panel, reconnect the harness and screw the panel back into place. Hope this helps!

Is the inner door hard to replace?
For model number PDW8200NOOBB
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your question. There is a video on our website that you can reference on how to install the . The dishwasher in the video may not show exactly like the one you have and the part being installed is the outer door panel, but it will give you a general idea on how to install the part. You will find the video under part number PS3418317. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

After running the dishwasher there are many small white particles under the door on the floor. They appear to be a kind of styrofoam which I assume is the door insulation deteriorating. There is no water leakage - yet. Looks like insulation panel no longer available. Is this the part I need?
For model number PDW8280J10SS
Hello Judi,
Thanks for your question. It is possible the door insulation is deteriorating and would as such require the inner door panel to replace; however, there is also a white styrofoam piece known as the block foam under the pump which may have deteriorated as well.
I hope this helps.
I just spoke with a representative at www.geappliance.com to ask about a replacement part for my dishwasher. The bottom door gasket has popped off. She gave me the replacement number for that part: WD31X10042. It was a complete inner door replacement for $278.88 + S&H. I explained I only wanted the lower door gasket and she said I have to buy the entire inner door. I think that is bordering on absurd. Can you please advise me how to get the one I have reattached or a replacement.
For model number PDW8500J00CC
Hi Peggy, thank you for asking. The door gasket you are looking for does not come separately, you may have to order the complete inner door panel, part number PS895006. This part includes the lower door gasket. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. We hope this information is useful!
