My microwave is not well. When it is turned on the magnatron gets magnetized t the oven wall and starts to burn up, hum and smoke. Do i need to replace part #00641857?

Hello Alexander, Thank you for contacting us. If the magnetron has started to smoke and burn up then it may be better to replace the microwave itself. My Bosch microwave control lights keep going out and i have to play with it to get it to light up and work. Every time i set the clock it goes out later. Is is the pc board that i need? I keep getting an error message that says consult my instruction manual. But that's no help. I even reset everything and the lights on the control panel still go out and it won't respond until i fiddle with it. I'd like to order a new board but i need to know if that's the cure. Thanks!

Hello Linda, thank you for your question. That sounds like either a loose or defective connector between the control panel touch pad and the board. We would recommend taking the control panel off and checking the connection between the touch pad and the board. If it is tight and connected well, you would want to check the connector for breaks or burns. The board sounds like its working once you fiddle with it, so if all else fails, the control panel touch pad would be the part we would recommend replacing. That is PartSelect Number PS8729743.
