2 questions.Thermostat is part of this assembly? Not a separate part. Also, heater is heating but over heating then power to dryer turns off, after cooling, power goes back on. I believe its the thermostat and why considering replacing with this part.

Hello Karen, Thank you for the question. Yes, the thermostat is included with the element. You can test the thermostat for continuity with a multi meter to see if it is defective. You can also test the sensor,Part Number: PS8725652 and the temperature limiter,Part Number: PS8726390 on the element. Hope this helps!
