Washer will not spin or agitate. How can i test the motor to see if it is the problem?
For model number WHDSR315D5WW
Hello Patrick, thank you for your question. There will be to wire leads connected to the motor. Disconnect the motor's two wire leads from the wiring harness. Set your multimeter to the R x 1 setting. Touch each of the meter's probes to one terminal each. Your motor should show little resistance (a reading of zero, or close to zero). Now check the ground connection. Place one probe on the bare metal housing of the motor. Place the other probe on each terminal, one at a time. You should not receive any reading on your meter from this test. If your washer's motor fails either of these tests, you will have to replace it. The transmission is also a possibility for why this would occur. I hope this helps.

How do I find a spec for the motor to test for proper resistance with multimeter? The motor is overheating, so it may be the transmission and not the motor.

Hi. My washer won’t finish the whole cycle. It left the clothes so wet and won’t spin to dry. Pls help. Is this the part i should get?
For model number WH20X10019
Hi Maggie,
Thank you for your question. If the cycle on your washer is not completing the issue could be the timer or the lid switch. You will need to check the parts with a multimeter to see which one is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Washer don't spin or agitate
For model number WBB6700F0GG
Hi Jeannie,
Thank you for your question. If the washer is not spinning or draining, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the agitator coupling kit, the agitator, the drive belt, the tub dampening strap, the split ring, the capacitor, the transmission and brake assembly, the hub washer, the tub bearing washer, the tub seal, the magnet assembly and the lid switch. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
