You can hear the oven click when i hit the ‘bake’ button, no Flame. I think it’s the ignitor, but when i try to start the oven with a lighter: Nothing happens. Would the problem lie with the ignitor itself?

Hi Dawn,
Thank you for your question. Often when you use a gas oven you can hear the gas running to the unit during the operation. As the gas runs through the pipes, you might hear a hissing or whooshing sound. You may also hear a clicking noise as the ignition lights the flame. Afterward, you may hear a hissing or whooshing sound as the oven burner cycles on and off to regulate the temperature of the oven cavity. If there is no flame the issue is likely the igniter. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
