Ice maker works, dumps ice into bin. Ice melts forming a blockage at exit point. Screw cannot turn. Appears the gate should be closed to until ice is asked for. Looks to be standing open, letting heat into the ice holding box. Found no broken part, do not see how or what closes gate. What is amiss?

Hello Tilden, thank you for your question. The issue is most likely with the Ice Door Chute Assembly which has been discontinued by the manufacturer. The other possibility is that the
Dispenser Door Spring Part Number: PS470585 has become loose and will not return the door to the closed position. I hope this helps!
