Hello Jeff and thank you for writing. You should be able to do this replacement from the front without taking the door apart. Look at the touchpad to find out whether it snaps out or is screwed into place. Take it out. If the reverse side of the touchpad is plugged into the wires of the microwave, unplug them from the wiring harness. Don’t worry, they’re not hot. Plug the new touchpad to the wiring harness. Reattach the touchpad to the front of the microwave the same way you took it apart. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.
