The water does not drain when it finishes. Can you help?

Thanks for your question. This is typically due to the drain pump. You may want to test it with a multimeter for electrical continuity, and replace it if it shows no continuity. Also test the water inlet valve and examine the drain hose for any signs of wear and tear or clogging.

My dishwasher fills and then sounds like it is running but no water is being sprayed from any of the spray arms. It otherwise drains fine after its "cycle" and continues on filling again and sounding like it is running but no water spraying. What would probably be wrong with it? Thank you, dede.

Thank you for your question. If there is no water spraying from the spray arm, the pump may not be working correctly. You will need to check the wash impeller, which looks like a fan blade, that forces water through the spray arm and you will need to check the drain impeller which pushes the water to the drain port. If any of these are not working correctly in the pump, you will need to replace it. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Is the check ball supposed to float in the water?

Does ps420460 pump check ball (Frigidaire # 154246402) float? The one currently in my dishwasher does not float and does not rise up the rail and allow water to be pumped to the top sprayer. If the replacement floats then that would explain the problem, mine has lost its buoyancy. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks.

Dishwasher works but drain water from the sink back flows into the dishwasher does the check ball prevent that

Upper rack is not cleaned well. Replaced main circulation pump, replaced upper rack arm and wall gasket. All nozzles and filters are clear. Water height sensor clicks consistently at about 0.5in. Water pressure is good. Everything sounds good. Hear the ball moving into different positions through the wash program. Can't figure it out. Lower rack is clean. What should i test or replace next? Spent over $200 already.

DISHWASHER FILLS UP WITH WATER WITHOUT IT BEING ON AND SPILL OUT AT THE BOTTOM OF THE DOOR.

Hi Treimane, thank you for contacting us. It appears that your dishwasher may have a damaged water inlet valve, part number PS1524958, that is allowing water to go in when it is turned off. Also, for the leakage from the bottom, we recommend replacing the bottom door gasket, part number PS9495545. We hope this solves your problem!
