This evaporator fan motor is sourced from the original manufacturer for use in refrigerators. It circulates cold air throughout the refrigerator compartment to maintain consistent cooling. If the evaporator fan motor is faulty, you will notice inconsistent internal temperatures, excessive and unusual noise, and frost build up. To begin the repair, disconnect the refrigerator from power and remove all shelves and food items in front of the rear panel. Remove the mounting screws on the rear panel and carefully detach it to expose the fan motor. Disconnect the wire connectors to the motor and pull it out of the refrigerator. You may reuse the old fan blades if they are in good condition. Insert the new motor in the refrigerator and reattach the mounting screws. Reconnect the wire connector and reassemble the refrigerator in reverse order.

Before i order, need to confirm circulating fan part number for my Samsung (model number above) refrigerator. Fan quit working after making some noises last week. My husband watched youtube and determined it had all iced up; sure enough, removed the back panel of the fridge (inside) and the coils and fan were completely iced up. We defrosted everything and put it all back but the fan will still not work. Need to order another fan but can't seem to determine part number

I'm getting conflicting info on the cooling fan motor? What is the correct replacement model number? Da31-0007oe looks right but the amps show as 0.10 vs 0.16 which is on the unit i removed.

The circulating fan in my refrigerator is cycling on and off about every 10 seconds. It only stays on for a short time despite the fact that the refrigerator is at 50 degree. I already replaced the control board but it is still doing the same thing. I also changed the fan about a month back but am thinking the new fan may be bad. Is there something else I should check or is ordering and replacing this fan the next logical step? (btw, the freezer is working perfectly)

Hello Kelly, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Defrost Sensor, PartSelect Number PS4138631. The Sensor should have a resistance reading of 11,741 at 38 degrees give or take 5%. Testing the sensor is done at CN30 pin 6 and CN76 pin 1 for 4.6 volts to 1.0 volts. We hope this helps!
