Why would water be running out of the ice maker on every cycle? I have the ice maker out but there is nothing obvious except some of the black paint is coming out of where the water fills into

Hi Mike, thank you for your question. There are two parts that you should check for this issue. The first part to test would be your water inlet valve. The valve has two solenoids that control either the dispenser or the ice maker. Even if your dispenser is working the ice maker solenoid may not be and vise versa. The valve can be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 500 - 1500 ohms of resistance. If that part is testing correctly then you should look into your ice maker being the issue.
