Gas Dryer not getting hot
I noticed the flame would start, then quit after about 15 seconds. I checked the flame detector, and found the lenze cracked. I replaced it, and it's as good as gold.
It looked like a hard job to take the drum out to get at the part. But the top was off with 3 screws, the front about 6 I think. Then the front frame, only 4 s

Hello and thank you for writing.
We suggest to try a hard reset:
Go to your breaker box and shut the breakers for your unit off, wait 5 minutes and then turn the breaker to on again. That should hopefully clear this problem.
If this does not fix this problem then your sensor PS3529161 or main control board might be faulty and possibly needs to be replaced. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime.
My LG DLG9588WM gas dryer does not heat. I’ve replaced the thermistor, blower thermostat, high limit thermostat (with the reset button), and the burner igniter. Still no heat. Both thermostats have the same size wire connector. Does it matter if they are fazed correctly? I couldn’t locate any positive or negative symbols on the original or replacement parts. My lint trap and exhaust tubing are free and clear. There’s two other parts listed that only have a 1% needed for this condition that I have not replaced. That would be the gas valve assembly, and the sensor assembly. I haven’t replaced the moisture sensor either. I really enjoy your website and have found great help with the videos. A few years ago I was able to repair my dishwasher with help from videos and parts purchased from you.

And new LG dryer. Installed propane orifice adjusted gas valve. Burner lights for 30 seconds then shuts off as if not detecting flame.

Hello James , Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Igniter. It may have been bumped while converting to LP. On a good igniter, there should be between 40 & 400 OHMS. A bad igniter will show no resistance or continuity. We hope this helps!
As stated prior to this the dryer ignites and burns for about 30 seconds then burner shuts off. You suggested I test igniter. I did and it tests good. As I stated it ignites and Burns for about 30 seconds and shuts off. I don’t understand your suggestion to test igniter as I stated ignition isn’t the problem it ignites fine but will not stay lit

Hello James, Thank you for the question. A weak igniter may light but not have enough power to stay lit or keep the valve open. This issue can also be caused by too much heat. You can check the vent and inside the cabinet for any lint build up preventing a good air flow. A dryer must be able to blow the moisture out of the dryer. If it can’t due to a clogged vent or poor air flow, the flame will go out. You can also test the Flame Sensor, Thermostats and Thermistor. We hope this helps!
My dryer is running but it doesn't get hot and the clothes aren't getting dry. What part needs to be replaced?
For model number Dlgx7801we
Hello Kelly, thank you for getting in touch. Based on the description that you have provided, we would recommend checking the high limit thermostat, part number PS16878105, to fix the issue. The high limit thermostat helps monitor and regulate the temperature inside a dryer. We hope this solves your problem!
I am having a problem with the drier over drying out clothes, e.g. we set it to Permanent Press and the very dry setting and it has run for approximately 40 minutes. Now it won’t shut off. The timer will count down, but then add more time to the cycle over drying the clothes. I heard it might have to do with the sensor dry sensor having a buildup of fabric softener residue. I took it out and cleaned, but still have the over drying. Does this sound like a faulty sensor dry module?

Hi Michael, thank you for reaching out. Based on the description you have provided, we would suggest checking the vent for any blockage first. If it is fine, the issue could be with the moisture sensor, part number PS3529161. It controls the temperature in your dryer and will turn off once your clothes have reached the desired dryness level. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this solves your problem!
