How do I replace the suspension assembly on my Kenmore washer?
For model number 7962927
Hello Larry,
Thanks for your question. Unplug the machine. You will need to lift the main top up and support it. Lift the tub up and detach the support rods in question, then remove them from the support bracket. Apply grease to the top and bottom of the new rod and hook the top of the new rod into the support bracket. Lift the tub and attach the bottom of the rod to the outer tub. Remove the support on the main top and snap it back into place.
I hope this helps.

Hello. Washer is making a metal to metal sound when it is in the wash cycle. Also the tub appears to be setting lower than normal when loaded with clothes/water. It spins, drains, etc. Fine with no noise. Does it sound like this suspension assembly and/or related bracket is broken broken? Thank you

Hello Paul, thank you for writing. You will want to check and consider replacing the Clutch Assembly part PS7788161. It may also be the Suspension Assembly part PS3524154 for your model considering the tub appears to be lower. We hope this helps.
