Whirlpool washer repair
The control board needed to be replaced on our 2010 Whirlpool Cabrio washer. I found the part on partselect.com. As part of my purchase, I could return the old control board and get a $60 rebate, which I did. The only downside was that I had to pay for the shipping to mail the old board, so it really isn't a $60 rebate. If I didn't have to pay for shipping, I would give this site a 5 star rating. My husband and I watched a few videos on YouTube on how to replace the control board, which were very helpful. We changed it successfully, so we saved money on not bringing in an appliance person. We also saved money in that we didn't have to replace our washer. The washer works like new now. We are pleased customers.

My wife washer "hums" on whites and normal selection shorty after start up, but not on bulky item. Could it need a new control part like part 6? Thank you
For model number WTW5600XW0
Hi Mike,
Thank you for your question. That would be unlikely, humming noises are part of normal operation for your appliance. So it would depend on the type of noise. You may want to just double check your suspension and your tub wear pads to be sure there is not something that you would need to replace there. However during your wash cycles the humming noises that you hear would be coming from your motor most of the time. During a draining cycle the humming noises would be coming from your drain pump. If the majority of the noise is happening during your draining cycle, I could suggest opening up your appliance; unscrewing, and opening up the filter that is on your drain pump. It could just be that there is something inside the pump that needs to be cleaned out. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

The washer will not go to rinse, and the water won’t turn off when it stops washing
For model number Wtw5600xwo
Hello Patricia, thank you for reaching out. The issue is probably due to the control board, part number PS3500772. We hope this helps!
