Is this piece needed? A hook that kept it along the back wall of the freezer broke, and it doesn’t appear to be much more than a piece of plastic that just hangs. What happens if I don’t put it back into the freezer? I took it out after the hook/tab plastic broke off, and the freezer seems to be working fine

Hello Katelyn, Thank you for the question. This Air Duct channels the air through the freezer cavity for proper Air Flow and is required. We hope this helps!

How do I remove the ice maker to replace the back duct panel on this model lghn2844mf0. Its been off for awhile and bottom of the freezer keeps building ice up all the time. Thank you
For model number LGHN2844ME0

Hi Jerry, Thank you for the question. The air duct will need to be removed to unplug the ice maker wire harness. To remove the ice maker air duct you will need to first you will need to unplug the appliance. Remove the freezer door and freezer section baskets and shelves. Remove the screw from air duct and remove the air duct from unit. To remove the ice maker, disconnect icemaker from wire harness plug. remove the one screw at the front of mounting plate. The icemaker will then slide forward to allow the shoulder screws in the liner to pass through the keyhole slots in the mounting plate. The mounting plate is removed from the icemaker by removing the three screws from the bottom of the assembly. Reverse the steps to reinstall and allow 24 hours for the ice maker to operate, then dispose of the ice cubes. Hope this helps!

It appears the vent deflector on my model refrigerator/freezer doesn't "snap" into place (as described elsewhere), but rather just hooks into the ventilation grill at the back of the freezer and dangles there. Is this assessment correct?
For model number LFHB2751TF0

Hi Matthew, Thank you for your question. The clips on the air duct should slide into place. Once you have done this, push it in and it will lock. If you have any questions, please let us know. We are open 7 days a week. We look forward to hearing from you!

Air vent cover on back panel of freezer slipped out whilst cleaning. Unable to reinsert. Very difficult angle as Ice maker seems to block it and also (not being funny) we have short arms and can’t maneuver it. Is there a diagram available? Thanks.

HOW DO YOU REPLACE THE FREEZER AIR DUCT?
For model number LGHD2369TF8
PartSelect logo
Hello Eugene, thank you for reaching out. You would need to remove the baskets and shelves in the freezer. Remove the screw from the air duct, lift it up on the bottom of the duct, and then it will allow you to pull it forward. This part just snaps into place on the back wall of your freezer. The notches for the tabs to snap the air duct lie at the bottom of the freezer's back wall. When installing this part, angle the top of the duct so that the tabs can be inserted into the back cover. Then snap it into place. We hope this information is useful!

The freezer panel fell off when cleaning, we also can't figure out how to reinstall it in the back of the freezer, we see no slots for the tabs to go into, a picture would be great
