Just what I needed.
I was visiting my daughter who just had a new baby and the dryer (heat) went out. Not a good thing with a new baby. I looked online and found Partselect. I read the trouble shooting comments and decided to try this part. I figured I could sent it back if it did not work. Thankfully, my son inlaw was able to pull the machine out and replace the part. It worked! Thank goodness.

Dryer does not get hot
For model number WSM2420TAZWW
Hi Jared, thank you for your question. When your are having an issue with your dryer not heating, there are a few parts that you will want to check. First you should check all of your thermostats and thermal fuses with a multi meter to make sure they are working correctly. They should be reading 0 ohms if properly functioning. The next part to check would be your heating element. That part can also be tested with a multi meter and should be reading between 0 - 50 ohms to be working correctly. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Will this part work w/ the Kenmore dryer model listed above. This dryer starts drying then after a bit it cuts off. It can be restarted but will cut off again. My clothes are bnot getting dry. Please help!
For model number 41788042700
Hello C, thank you for your question. Unfortunately, this is not a compatible part. If the dryer starts, heats, but then shuts off shortly after that we would recommend testing a few thermostats. They are the most likely issue here. We would suggest testing the Thermal Limiter - Limit 220 Part Number: 134120900, High Limit Thermostat Part Number: 3204267, and Control Thermistor Part Number: 134587700. Disconnect the power source to your dryer before you conduct this or any other test. Either unplug the unit from the wall outlet, remove the appropriate fuse from the fuse box, or flip the appropriate breaker in the circuit breaker panel. Your dryer uses multiple thermostats to regulate its internal temperature. The cycle selected determines which thermostat is used. A cycling thermostat can be found somewhere in the path of air that is leaving the drum. It could be found on the blower wheel housing or inside the venting/exhaust system. Dryer thermostats are usually oval shaped and about an inch and a half in length. Also, there should be two wires leading to each thermostat. Label these wires before you remove them so that you are able to correctly reconnect them later. The wires leading to the thermostat are connected using metal slip on connectors. Remove the wires by pulling on the connectors, and not the wires themselves. It may be a good idea to use a pair of needle nosed pliers to help you. Set your multimeter to the R X 1 setting. Take each of your meter's probes and touch one to each terminal. You are testing for continuity, and you should receive a reading of either zero or infinity. At room temperature, testing the thermostat should produce a reading of zero. But if a thermostat is tested when it is heated to its limit, a reading of infinity should be produced. We strongly recommend that you test your thermostat at room temperature. If the test you conduct with your thermostat does not produce these results, then you should replace the component. I hope this helps!

Is thermal fuse we4x857 the same as 3392519?
For model number DBXR463GD1WW
Hello Ron, thank you for your question. No, they are two separate parts. The first part number is a GE thermal fuse, and the second part number is a Frigidaire thermal fuse. The GE model you have does not list the fuse as compatible with that unit.

I have a Kenmore dryer that will not start. The thermal fuse has no continuity. The part number 3392519 seems to be discontinued. Is there an alternative? Thanks.
Hi Michael, thank you for your question. Yes, I have linked the part below. Good luck with your repair.
My dryer sometimes takes 2 cycles to dry the clothes and other times it only takes one. What is going on with it?
For model number 110.67622600
Hello Jo, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Thermal Fuse part PS11741460, the Thermal Cut-Off Kit part PS334299, the Internal-Bias Thermostat part PS11741405, or the High Limit Thermostat part PS11742185. We hope this helps.
