This is the drain valve solenoid armature link for your dishwasher. This approximately 0.8-inch piece of metal is used to activate the drain valve for your dishwasher and ensure it opens and closes securely during the draining process. If your dishwasher is having draining issues, and your drain pump and filter are not damaged or clogged, this armature is likely broken or worn out, and the cause of your dishwasher issues. Replacing this armature will require needle-nose pliers. This is an OEM part, and it is sold individually.

Repair failure
This part is part of replacing drain solenoid which burned up in dishwasher that was only just over one year old. I replaced this part twice. The first time it lasted a week, the second one lasted two days.

In the meantime I put a temporary one feed valve on hot water feed line so I could have access to hot water in kitchen while I waited for parts wich were here in a couple of days. Put it all back and it runs fine. Thank for your help

This will be the second time i replace my drain solenoid (smoking) which tell me its drawing to much current. I did not replace the armature. My thoughts are between the motor or could the armature be causing my problem???
For model number gsd3300d35bb
Hello Gregory, thank you for your question. That sounds like a motor issue. We would recommend replacing the motor. I hope this helps.
