Is this the part needed if my door does not lock when you select self clean-beeps and say's lock door.
Serviceman said "latch" is this one and the same he also said discontinued but i see you have it available if it is this part that would lock the door so I can use self clean?

Hi,
I have a GE wall oven (jkp69w0y1ww). is this door latch the part that would control the door lock mechanism? i used the self cleaning feature on my oven last week. when it finished, it kept indicating that the door was locked even though the oven was long since finished and clean.
a repairman came to look at it. he said that the part was not available. he adjusted the lock so that the door will open and close. he tried a work around for the door lock sensor by using a foreign object to push against the micro sensor. it initially worked, but then the object came loose again.
i'm hoping that this is actually the needed part. can you advise?

Hi Bonnie,
Thank you for your question. This part is the door lock and switch assembly for your appliance. This would be the part that you would need if it is malfunctioning. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
