I recently replaced the broil element because the broil wouldn't heat. Did not solve the problem. What other component would cause the broil function to not work? All other functions work, bake ok, surface elements ok, oven dial seems to be functioning ok, even the broil red light comes on. but the element does not heat.
please help.

Hello Ed, thank you for your question. If the broil element was replaced but didn't fix the issue we would recommend testing the sensor next. Testing the temperature sensor probe on your oven is easy. With the sensor at room temperature, measure the resistance between the two prongs at the end of the sensor connector. The resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature. If that sensor is tested and is within the above reading the issue would be with the electronic control board which is Part Number: PS239445. I hope this helps!
