The units beeps and the display request to current scroll speed 1 -5. However when I try to do it does not let me. If I unplug the unit for while it works fine for 5- 10 mins and does the same.

Hello Steve, Thank you for the question. This sounds like a defective Smart Board, PartSelect Number PS2370171. To fix the issue the board will need to be replaced. Hope this helps!
My GE jvm1740sp2ss microwave beeps and says keypad short may need service. If i order and replace the control board will this take care of the problem? Thank you
