Assembly water tank looks to have mold in it. Can this be changed without turning water off and can i just change out the cylinders instead of the lines also. And our fridge always has water under the crisper and will freeze up. We have to take out crisper and mop up water every three months
For model number Pfss6pkxdss
Hello Bryan, thank you for your question. The appliance should be unplugged before starting this repair. It is recommended to replace the lines and the water tank as an assembly. You may also want to check the drain tube in the appliance to see if there is some debris clogging the line. The water should be draining into the evaporator pan to be evaporated. I hope this helps!

Does the water tank ( #ps2359941) effect the water from the door or is it just a holding tank for the ice maker?
For model number GFSS6KKYCSS
Hello Scott, thank you for your question. Yes it does affect the dispenser. The tank doesn't hold water for the icemaker, but for the dispenser so the water is kept cool for drinking. I hope this helps!

Are the water line connectors permanent after assembly or can they be disassembled? I'm talking about the connection from the water reservoir line to the water line into the door. All of the connectors in the reservoir appear to be permanent.

Hello Carl, Thank you for the question. The connections are not permanent and should just pull apart. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

What controls the water tank assembly from putting to much water into the ice maker. Larry
Hi Larry, Thank you for the question. The water flow to the icemaker is usually controlled by a water inlet valve on the back of the appliance where the water supply is hooked to the appliance. Hope this helps!

When using water dispenser, it makes a rumbling noise while dispensing water which runs slow. Also when adding water to ice maker. Then there is water on bottom of fresh food section which turns to ice.

Hello James, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Water Inlet Valve that controls the water tot he appliance. Set your multitester to the R X 1 ohms setting to test for continuity. Place each of the multitester's leads on a terminal. Your multitester should display a reading between 200 and 500 ohms. Closely examine your water inlet valve. The exact ohm resistance rating you should test for may be marked on the valve. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
