The ejector drive gear is a part for your refrigerator. This icemaker drive gear is for the ejector blades. The part rotates the cube ejector arm, which cycles the icemaker and pushes the cubes out and into the ice bucket, ready for the ice to be used. The outside diameter of this piece is almost two inches by two inches. The reason for needing to replace your gear is if the current one is broken/missing a tooth, or if your icemaker is not dispensing ice and is noisy.

My ice maker has a tooth missing on the small gear which does not allow it to cycle where do i get one i see the large one but not the small one any help greatly appreciated thanks riner b wade
For model number frs6lf7fmb
Hello Riner, Thank you for the question. Checking the model number, the small gear was sold as part of the drive motor. The manufacture no longer sells the motor on its own and only make and sell it as part of the Ice Maker, PartSelect #: PS12364147. Hope this helps!

Makes ice but they sit on the top of the ice maker and don't dispense into the bucket?
For model number LGHN2844MF5
Hello Chuck, Thank you for your inquiry. Check the ice stripper and bail arm to see if they move freely. Examine the bail arm support to make sure it is not cracked. Next test the ice maker itself by taking it out and seeing if you can simulate a harvest cycle. We have included a link to one of our articles that mentions on how to test the ice maker assembly and module, just scroll down to the section on the ice maker assembly. Hope this helps!

Replacement gear: Does the new gear need to be timed when replaced on the shaft? I rotated the shaft after removing the old gear and am not sure if I got it back in exactly the same position as before. Thanks!
Hello Dave, Thank you for the question. We suggest watching the How To Video with Steve for instillation instructions. We hope this helps!
