Does this switch fix my problem which is when i turn on my rear left coil goes straight to high heat no low
Hello Leo, Thank you for the question. If the element turns on but goes right to high, the switch that controls the element will need to be replaced. If you can provide the model number of the appliance, we will be happy to verify the parts number for you. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Does part number 700855k a push and turn infinite switch have the wire connections on the bottom of the part or are the wire connections around the outside of the part. Your pictures show the connections on the bottom but other people i know have ordered this part number from other places and it has the wire connections around the outside and is made by robert shaw and has a part number of w10894486 but is sold as part number 700855k. I really need the wire connections on the bottom so just want to make sure. Thanks drew purvis

Our electric panel is outside, and one of our California deluges soaked in the breakers for our Jenn-Air cooktop. My husband dried the area and breakers, reinserted it, but our cooktop's heating elements are not receiving power. The fan works, the lights work. Is there a breaker on the underneath of our cooktop? Or do I need these "infinite" switch replacements? Would that be all of the switches on the top, or is that a control under the cooktop. We are not handy by any stretch of the imagination, so if these are dumb questions, sorry. Ours is 47 inch wide, ca 1987, electric, 4 burners, grill and frywell. I cannot find parts for the frywell either. Model number C301 and serial number 346818RR.
For model number C301
Hi Elizabeth,
Thank you for your question. If the elements on top of the stove are not lighting, you will need to check the check the electric burners, the switches and the terminal wiring with a multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. To test the terminal wires, Visually inspect the terminal block for any signs of damage, cracking, or burning. Using a multimeter on the Rx1 setting, touch the probes to the terminals. If your receptacle has multiple sets of terminals, test each set individually. If there is continuity, your multimeter will produce a reading of zero. If you receive any reading other than zero, you will need a replacement receptacle. To test the switches, place your multimeter on Rx1 mode, test for continuity by touching the L1 and H1 terminals with the probes. Once you have completed that test, touch the probes to the L2 & H2 terminals. If your test results indicate that there is no continuity between one or both sets of terminals, you need a replacement infinite switch. To test for a shorted element, touch each of the terminals one at a time with one probe while holding the other probe to the outside surface of the element. If either terminal show continuity, it is defective. To test the entire element for continuity, place each of the probes on the terminals, one on each. The exact reading you should receive varies between models, refer to your owner’s manual to determine what yours should be, but if any element has a reading outside of 19 to 115 ohms, it is defective. If you do not receive the correct readings from the tests above or find damage on your element, you will need a replacement surface burner element. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

The 2 larger solid elements do not heat up to their full heating capacity whereby it takes a long time to even boil water. What could be the problem and what part numbers might i need? Thank you.
For model number C301 (Jenn-air cooktop with 2 large solid elements, 2 smaller solid elements, & a center grill
Hello Peter, thank you for writing. This is likely due to a faulty Infinite Switch, this part number PS2076107 for your model. Good luck with your repair!

Does the image truly reflect the item. The switches I have received do not look like the original part.
For model number 2380EGS
Hello James, thank you for the question. The Surface Unit Infinite Switch Kit, part number FIX2076107, works with the exact model. Sometimes the manufacturer just changes the shape but its function should be the same. We hope this information helps!

Regular Parts Replacement/Maintenance.
We love our Jenn-Air electric range that we have owned since 1983 and couldn't get parts from where we bought it recently. We called around to Sears and other appliance dealers and they couldn't help us. We found your company searching on the internet and we are very much pleased with your parts listing and your great service. We will be back. Jody and Mike Hayden, Eden, Vt.
Burner had no temperature control other that full on.
Locate and open appropriate breaker to kill power to the range. (very important if you intend to see tomorrow).
Pull off the control knob.
Remove 2 screws that hold in control pannel.
Lift out the control pannel to the extent that the wires will let you. (2-3 inches)
Remove the nut that holds the switch/controller in the pannel.
Remove the wires one at a time and reconnect them to the new switch. Make sure to connect them the same way on the new switch.
Re-install the switch in the pannel.
Re-install the pannel in the stove.
Close breaker and test burner contol.

Fan switch burned out, Burner switch only worked on HIGH.
Well, since the circuit breaker blew when the fan switch burned out, I was hoping to get a new counter-top range out of this. But, no such luck. My son opened up the control module (2 screws under the fan grill) and found the problem. Then I decided that if I needed to replace ONE part, I'd replace ALL of the parts that didn't work and were worn out. First I turned off the breaker all the way, then, since the module was open anyway (it pulls out about 2 inches), I only had to remove the old fan switch using the socket set, and replace it, wire-for-wire with the new one. The flange needed to be filed down a bit because it was wider than the original, but not a problem to do. I had to use the original nuts to hold in the new one. The new ones are smaller. Just used the socket set in reverse ....done! The burner switch and knobs were a little more of a problem but only because ordering them didn't follow the rules...I needed series 3 parts, even though I had a "Run 01" range top. With the help of a very nice customer service rep, I got the correct parts the next day and replaced the burner swich the same way...used a socket set to loosen and remove the old switch and connected the new one wire-for-wire, and again needed to use the original washer and nut. (The wrong model that I initially received had a new washer and nut in the bag with the switch.) But, again, no problem. The control knobs just pull off and push on...simple. Now that I had a nearly new range top, I spent another 2 hours REALLY cleaning it (Dawn Power Dissolver is GREAT!). Looks almost like new! I guess I won't be getting a new range top for another 22 years now.....
two of the surface unit infinite switch D-shaped pins were broken
following the directions in the package and on-line, this repair was easier than i could have imagined. changing out these two parts took less than 15 minutes.
Old switch had burned out and needed to be replaced
Turned off electricity at the circuit box. Removed four screws from panel cover that housed the switch. disconected the wires from the old switch and replaced the old switch with the new one reconected the wires put the panel cover back on. voila done.

Switches on my range top quit working! Range top is over 20 years old. Local appliance parts store said they could not get parts I needed! What a great feeling I had when I found the parts I needed at PartSelect. I was able to see excellent pictures of the parts, consequently I felt safe ordering
I unplugged the range top power cord. I used a phillips screw driver and crescent wrench to remove the old range top switches. I disconnected the wires from the switches. I reconnected the wires to the new switches and installed the switches into the range top switch panel. This took about one hour. I plugged in the power cord. The range top works great and looks great with the new switches.
I recently purchased an older home. The cooktop is aged and has not been properly maintained. With the parts I ordered from parts select I was able to bring my cooktop back to almost new! I am very pleased with the quick service parts select provided!
1st-turned off breaker, 2nd- took out the two screws that hold the control panel and lifted it up so I could remove the surface unit switch,3rd- removed wires from old switch and securing nut and removed old switch,4th- installed new switch and plugged in wires, then turned on breaker to see if burner would work and it did. 5th-turned off breaker again and removed the wires from the fan switch and used nut driver to remove retainer nuts,6th-installed new fan switch and plugged in wires, 7th- put control console back in place and the two screws that hold it in place. Turned breaker back on and everything worked.Didn't use the burner receptacle or burner.
Switches were worn out (2) and shorting out. Throwing the breaker. Actually I think the ladies boyfriend/ fiance' tried to replace the knobs that were broken with universal knobs. They didn't fit so he forced them and broke the switches internally.
Shut off the breaker! Removed down draft grill. Removed two phillips head screws and lifited switch plate out. Removed switches (2) and made wiring diagram as I went. Looked up Jenn-Air on line and ordered parts. Lost wirihng diagram in the process but still had two switches wired . Replaced all four switches. Everything working great. However while I was waiting on switches to arrive, somebody at the house was fooling with the switch plate and broke the on red indicater lens so now I'm ordering that. Oh well....
We unscrewed the top plate, unscrewed the top of the switch removed the ballast underneath and it worked. I was so glad to be able to still get the parts.

Great part needs better labeling of the switch on the back or maybe just a piece of paper. Letting people know what connections are

Easy to install after checking robertshaw.com conversion diagram.
Excellent buying experience from partselect. The new infinite switch had slightly different letters corresponding to the plugs because the new switch is an upgraded version. The photo shown on partselect.com is the old version. After reading the Robert Shaw conversion diagram on robertshaw.com, I was able to connect the wires properly. You could just guess, but I like to be sure when working with electricity. This was such an enjoyable and useful project for me that I posted a Youtube video on how I did the job. Look for " Jenn Air cooktop goes full hot." Partselect could enclose the Robert Shaw conversion chart with the new switch to simplify the installation process for novice diy folks.
