This evaporator fan motor is located in the back of the freezer, and circulates air over the refrigerator coils. These coils will convert the heat into cool air, which is then circulated.

Okay Repairing
Installing the part took a bit more time than it stated. Refrigerator worked great for about three days and then stopped working again. Don't think it was the part, it probably need another part and just wasn't worth the effort. Bought a new refrigerator.

Worked! And for much less than what the repair person wanted.
My old original part was hardwired in but fortunately, with the provided connectors, I was able to get the new one installed...just took a little longer than I anticipated since I’m not a professional.

Fridge Compartment Was Warm While Bottom Freezer Worked As Normal
First I unplugged the refrigerator. I removed the freezer drawer and shelf. Ice maker and then the air duct. The air duct was a little difficult as it is held in with plastic tabs that have to be pried with a screw driver with care as to not over stress the part. I was then able to remove the back panel with the nut driver. This

However following the supplied directions it was quite easy to change out and to make the new wire connections. After making sure that everything was clear from the fan I plugged the refrigerator in to check the operation of the motor. It worked perfectly. I then unplugged the fridge and replaced the back panel, duct. Ice maker, shelve and drawer. The fridge now works better than it ever has and we had to readjust the temperature control as it was a little hard to the lettuce. I found partsselect very good to deal with. Sears told us the part was back ordered and we would be without our fridge for a month, not acceptable at all. Partselect had the part and at a better price. And we had the unit running again in a couple of days. I am very satisfied with the experience.

Freezer cold, Refrigerator warm
I did some research online, and was sure that it was the evaporator fan motor that was not working. So I paid more for overnight shipping than I did for the fan motor to have it over-nighted. I removed the botttom freezer door by simply pulling out and lifting it up. I then removed the wire shelf by pulling it straight out. Removed the i

Then I popped off the plastic vent at the top of the freezer's interior rear cover. Removed the rear cover by removing the four or so screws holding it on to expose the evap fan motor and the freezer coil. Careful, the fins are fragile and sharp. I inspected the fan motor and it seemed to be working fine. I unplugged the fridge and plugged it back in. It went through a defrost cycle and I put it all back together again. Cranked the frige unit up to 7, and was able to lower the freezer to 4. It's been working ever since. Eventually I was able to lower the fridge back down to 6. Long of the short is I paid $60 for nothing.
