Last night my microwave made a popping noise and now it will not heat. It is also louder than normal while running. Is this the correct part to fix this problem? Thank you for your time.
For model number FGMV174KFC
Hi Nick,
Thank you for your question. I would suggest checking your fuse to see if it is fuse is still working. Be very careful when doing any repairs on your microwave. Make sure the appliance is unplugged and make sure to safely discharge the electricity from your capacitor. If you do not it could give you a serious shock. If your fuse is checking out fine, then you should check your diode. If that part is fine it may be your magnetron that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
