Are the instructions to remove the part 16 - ceramic top, and then replace it?

Hi Mari
Thank you for your inquiry. Before beginning any repair please unplug the stove from the electrical outlet. First, open the oven door and remove the screws securing the maintop. Once the screws are removed close the oven door and lift the maintop up using a sturdy object to support it. Release the burners by removing the screws securing the cross braces to the maintop. Pull the old maintop away from the rear panel. Install the new maintop by first transferring the front and rear brackets from the old top to the new one. Then position the top into the rear panel slots. Support the top as you reattach the burner assemblies by positioning the cross braces and securing the screws. remove the support and lower the maintop and secure the maintop with the screws. Plug the stove back in. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!
