Wall oven randomly exceeds set temp. When at 350 it will suddenly surge to 450 or more (as verified with a separate oven thermometer). Tested the temp probe resistance and it is correct at room temp. What is most likely the problem? Temp probe or board (which board) or something else? Thanks.
For model number EW30EW5CGS3
Hello Richard, Thank you for the question. If the Probe tests to be good, the resistance of the sensor should read approximately 1080 – 1090 ohms at room temperature, you would need to replace the Oven Control Board, PartSelect Number PS2378974. If you need help placing an order, customer service is open 7 days a week. Please feel free to give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you!
My Electrolux electric wall oven heats to correct temp (preheat mode ) but then will not hold the temp (set to 450 drops to 300) I can see and hear the on the control panel that the elements click off and on. The control panel still reports a temp of 450. If I turn oven off and restart it knows it at 300 and then reheats to 450. I replaced the temp sensor and same issue. Which control board or relay would be next to replace. The oven is 15 years olds. What do you suggest.
For model number EW27EW55GS5
Hi David, thank you for your inquiry. If the temperature sensor does not help with the issue, you will need to replace the control board, part number PS1991659, to fix the issue. The control board could be faulty, not reading the correct temperatures. Glad to be of help!

Hello,
We recently bought a house with an Electrolux wall oven that does not heat when turned on (shows that it is preheating, but no heating of the elements). An appliance technician hired to diagnose by the previous owners said that the control board needs to be replaced, but did not elaborate which contol board. I assume this is the correct one? Thank you!
For model number EW30EW5CGS6
Hi Brendan, thank you for contacting us. The relay board you have mentioned is the correct one for your model. The relay control board operates relays to regulate the oven elements. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!
