Element would not heat up
Removed 2 screws located underneath the front lip of the range top. Lifted range top and supported. Removed the 2 screws at either end of the support bracket. This bracket holds the elements in position. Be careful not to let the elements fall out when removing. The elements are now free to replace. Swap out the old with the new and be sure to reconnect the wires to the correct terminals on the new element. I did 1 wire at a time so as to not make a mistake at reconnecting the wires. Then replace the support bracket with the 2 screws and lower the range top in place and put back the 2 screws that hold the range top in position. VOILA!! Success. It works. The wife is now happy again:)

burned out burner
First we removed two screws under the rim of the range top to open the lid. Lifted the lid and removed the screws from the bracket that holds the elements, Be careful with the clips that hold the element in, if you break them or bend them there aren't any more! Also note which holes they were in, they are marked according to the different sizes of elements. Disconnected the wires, needed needlenose pliers to grip them...connected new element, popped it back in place, replaced bracket, closed top ...Easy peasy!!!

burner knob post busted off....and burner element burned out
My husband opened the oven door.He removed the metal strip at the top just under where the knobs are.I held the top of the stove up while he unscrewed the 2 screws on either side of where the knob goes and he unplugged the connectors on the switch assembly one at a time a reconnected the new ones. We slid the post through the hole and lined up the two holes put the screws back in. Walah. I cont. holding up stove he got a socket to unscrew the strip holding the back elements in place. He undid just the one side used pliers to squeeze clamp together pushed the little post through the slot....unplugged the connectors keeping track of them. He used a screwdriver to unscrew clamps to screw them onto the new element at the same number as he took them off the old element. We popped the new element back in hooking up all connectors poked the little clamp posts through the holes attached the screw that is the strip holding elements in place. We closed the stovetop We lined the metal strip up at top of oven door underneath the knobs and put the 4 screws back in and closed the door. Done. I would say it took maybe 30 min.if that. Works like a champ.

How can i test to ensure it is intact the heating element and not a wire that needs to be replaced.
For model number FEF366LSB

Hi Leslie, Thank you for your question. To verify why the surface burner element is not heating, you will need to check both the element and the burner switch with a multimeter to see which part is causing the issue. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Top don't heat up, would something be wrong with all the burners? And when I cut the oven on took a while to get to 350, is because of the top not heating up?
For model number LGEF3045KFC
PartSelect logo
Hello Lynda, Thank you for the question. Since there is no one part that controls all the elements on the cooktop, I suggest checking the wiring. Faulty wiring can also effect the oven. Hope this helps!

The right front event which is the biggest one won’t heat. What part do i need?
For model number CGEF3055MFD
PartSelect logo
Hi Joanna, thank you for your question. There are a couple of parts that could cause this issue specifically. You will need a multi meter to be able to test the parts. The first part you will want to check is your radiant element. It should be reading between 0 - 120 ohms to be working correctly. The other part to check would be your infinite (or surface burner) switch. When you remove that part from the appliance, connect each probe from your multi meter to the prongs and then turn the switch to an on position. If you get no continuity then the switch is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Electrolux cew30ef6gsc wont heat and the buttons on the top panel wont turn on.
For model number CEW30EF6GSC
PartSelect logo
Hello April, thank you for your question. If the unit will not heat, the issue would be with either the control panel Part #: PS2339294 or one of the electronic control boards. If the top elements will not work but the oven works the board that controls the switches would have to be replaced. I hope this helps!

There is no model# on the back of the stove . The service data sheets reference p/n 316259136(0108) + 316255121 rev a about 15yrs old with 4 burners + a warming zone . The front 2 do not heat up / the left says bridge element - the right says expandable element.
