How do I safely remove this piece from my dishwasher. A weird bug crawled in there and died, and I can't get it out. I tried to twist it and couldn't get it out. I also poked at it with a screwdriver. No dice. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Hello Jon, Thank you for your inquiry. The deflector is supposed to turn counter clockwise to remove it, if you are having trouble, you can try tapping the end of a screwdriver (after inserting into the slot on the deflector) gently with a hammer. If it is still not coming out, the gasket may be damaged and you can try using a little dish soap as a lubricant to get it out.
