This is not a switch.
Arrived as pictured. This is just a switch cover not a "button switch". It is just a piece of silicon or rubber with no electrical connections. If the start button /switch is broken this will not fix it.

I need directions for attaching the button switch

Hi Denver, Thank you for the question. The button is inserted in from the back by pushing it into place.You will need to remove the front panel to install the new button. Good luck with the repair!

Thank you for your question. If the washer isn't starting because the button is stuck or not imputing correctly, replacing the button itself is mostly likely the way to fix it, if not the second most likely would be the control board itself under part PS3506804 for your model. Hope this helps!
