Easy repair with slight modification
The only problem I ran into was that the plastic tab at the end of the wire was too big to fit into the existing slot on the mixer. To overcome this, I had to put the tab behind the slot and use the strain relief from the old wire in its place. Otherwise everything was great.

Disappointed. Part didn't fit.
Replacement power cord for Kitchen aid model K45SS didn't fit The strain relief where the cord goes into the bottom of the mixer motor was far too big to be used. Part # WPW10325327 does not fit my stand mixer.

Stress reliever not a fit
I bought 2 of these to replace the cords on an old K45 and a newer K45SS. The stress reliever on the new cord is far to large to fit into the slot on the K45SS housing, without modification. For the old K45, the original stress reliever is slightly angled, as Well as being much smaller. Can the be made to work, yes, but when you're ordering parts BY MAKE AND MODEL NUMBER to replace ONE parts, you have a right to expect drop-in compatibility.

All Factory Parts are not created Equal
This sounds like it might be a bad review but it's not. Althought Kitchen Aid stand mixers have looked the same for years-they are not the same. My mixer is from the late 60's-a big ticket purchase made by my father that have kept and, not surprisingly, the cable was breaking down. It was always "oily" and not matter how many times it was cleaned it continued to lose the plastisizer. So a new cable was in order. This is the cable that was listed for the model. Installation should be simple but the old cable used a snap-on strain relief while the replacement uses a molded strain relief-very much larger. Fortunately the "fix" involved 10 minutes with a file to slightly enlarge the opening in the housing and all was good. Well made part that fit with a slight modification to the mixer housing. Since the gearbox was relubed and the brushes replaced a couple years ago-now good for another 50 years.

Perfect fit!
Great replacement cord. Well made. Very easy to swap out. With my replacement gears I have a “brand new” 33 year old mixer!

replace burnt power cord
First I removed the back cover, two wires just unplugged and one wire I had to remove a screw, then put on the new wire, plug the two screws on, screw on the third wire and put the cover back on.
