Should the condenser fan be going all the time or do it cut in and out

Hello Jason, thank you for your question. The condenser fan motor should be running when the compressor is running, and off when it is off. I hope this helps.

Hello Johane, Thank you for your inquiry. The clicking noise may be the run capacitor trying to start. Also if the compressor is not starting, you may need the start device as well. We would also recommend checking the condenser fan as well. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. Good luck with your repair.

The freezer works okay and stays cold, However, I replaced the evaporator fan recently because the bottom of the refrigerator was not cooling. It seemed to work for a few days and then light bulb burned out and it stopped cooling once again. I checked my fuse box but nothing was tripped. The freezer works well and the evaporator fan is operating and spinning, but the bottom still is not cooling. What should I try next? Thanks for your advice-

Hello Cecil, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing the Temperature Sensor. At 40°F it should measure 26044O and at 55°F it should measure 17414O. We hope this helps!

My freezer get over frozen, and my refrigerator is warm. Could the culprit be the defrost thermostat?
For model number FFHS2611LWB
PartSelect logo
Hello David, thank you for asking. According to our research, the issue is most probably with the damper control assembly, part number PS8746718, But before replacing it, we would recommend checking the defrost thermostat using a multimeter. The damper control assembly controls the cold airflow from the freezer compartment into the refrigerator compartment. We hope this solves your problem!

Freezer works fine. Refrigerator only cools to about 60 degrees. Is there a fan that pushes air through the damper? Replaced the damper to no avail.
For model number LFSS2612TF0

Hello Ron, thank you for the question. Based on our understanding of the issue, we would suggest checking the evaporator fan motor, part number PS12728811, to fix the issue. The motor powers the fan to circulate air through the fridge to your fresh food compartment for efficient cooling. We hope that helps!
