The air conditioner is turning off and on by itself . All of the led lights on the display panel are flashing. The power button on the panel or the remote will not turn it off. It seems to be recycling. I can turn it off by pressing the reset on the power plug. I have this unit in a cabin. It was turned off by the remote a couple of days ago but when i came back it was in this condition, the display cycles 8 and 88, the fan is running but the compressor never comes on.

Hi James, thank you for your question. There could be a number of parts that may cause an issue like this. You may want to take a look at your thermostat, check to see if your coils are dirtied, and you may also want to take a look at your air filter to make sure it is cleaned. If those parts are find then it may be your control board that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
