I have a 2 year old GE microwave with no power at all. Have tested all the fuses and they test good. The magnetron fuse is testing as no continuity? Should this fuse have continuity when tested with a multimeter? Thank you!

2 yr old GE micro--works great but stopped heating. When I tried to find parts it says could be magnetron, diode, or some other one. What is part most likely to replace, these aren't cheap parts.

Hello Lynne, Thank you for the question. Based on your description, the magnetron is the more likely cause of your issue. Remember, the microwave can still contain a large amount of electricity even when unplugged, so be sure to have a licensed technician install the part. I hope this helps.

Plug microwave in and there is immediately a loud buzzing noise. Open door and the buzzing starts stops until door is closed again then it starts back up. Slight smell as well. Almost new unit
