This part is about four years old and smells. The whole kitchen has a bad odor coming from this downvent. I clean the filter regularly and clean any spills that fall through the vent opening. Can you help?

Hello Pat, Thanks for your question. There are a few different things to check to help alleviate this issue. See if the controls are set properly for the blower. If it recirculates air, check if it has a charcoal filter installed. See if there is any air restriction in the room such as from ceiling fans, and check if the appliance is installed correctly.
