Does this solenoid do both the ice maker water and the front dispenser water?I looks like it has two separate coils for that purpose but since there are no descriptions on here for any of the parts it is difficult to conjecture.

Hello Dan, Thank you for your inquiry. You can test the water inlet valve with a multimeter to see if it is faulty. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, we have videos available to assist you. The other part it could be is an issue with the filter housing that the filter connects into that is part of the water reservoir. If the nozzles that the filter connects into are cracked or otherwise damaged, it can cause the tubes to leak. We hope this helps you.

Both the water dispenser and ice maker flow is low, it pulsates at a low volume. This has existed for a number of months. I recently replaced the filter and the issue remains. Home water pressure looks to be good. I have looked online that I may need to replace the water valve unit which has the main valve and individual valves for the dispenser and ice maker. But I have also heard that this model has an issue where the water lines FROM the component valves to the dispenser/ice maker may freeze and limit water flow. Is this possible? Thanks

Hi, I am looking for the correct valve number for my model. The water going to the freezer does not work. But water to water dispenser does. Do I need to replace the one inside the back of the fridge that has a spot for water to dispenser and one to the freezer. Thank you for any help. If you can give me the part number id appreciate it.

The filter is leaking from the inlet side, where attached to the plastic housing. I did not drain the water in winter when I was away. Are the o-rings on the end of housing damaged and need to be replaced, or the housing must be changed with new. Please let me know what is required to repair the unit.

Hi Jorge, thank you for reaching out. If the refrigerator water dispenser is not working but the ice maker is, your water pressure could be to blame. Your fridge needs less pressure to make ice than it does to dispense water. We would recommend checking the water filter to make sure it is not clogged. If the issue still persists, we would recommend replacing the water inlet valve, part number PS11775241. This valve supplies water to the ice maker and dispenser. We hope this helps!

When the ice maker dumps ice and then refills. Often times the water fills the ice tray and won’t shut off. It just keeps filling until water is spilling out into icemaker and eventually runs out into fridge and also out the icemaker front.
