I checked all of the parts recommended - tested ok- tested the timer on high heat- tested ok, but when i tested the timer on low heat it failed multi-meter test. Since dryer does work on heat, but not low heat i am assuming the timer needs to be replaced?
For model number RED4640YQ1
Hi Tom, Thank you for your question. It sounds like it may be your timer if it is not working on one of the settings and you have tested all of the other parts. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

My dryer will not cut off. I replaced the fuse in october and now it has stopped running again. I believe it maybe the timer since it never turns off which is why the fuse keeps going out. Please help
For model number RED464oyq1
Hi Sonya, Thank you for your question. If your dryer is not shutting off, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door switch, the internal bias thermostat, the thermal fuse, the heating element, the thermal cutoff and the high limit thermostat. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Dryer will not come on.
For model number RED4640YQ0
Hello Michael, Thank you for the question. if the appliance is acting like it is not getting power I suggest testing the Thermal Fuse, PartSelect Number PS11741460. This thermal fuse is used in dryers as a safety mechanism that stops the flow of electricity to the motor circuit when a dryer overheats. Thank you for your inquiry, good luck with this repair!

Machine is receiving power but when i switch it on, nothing happens. Which part could be the issue?
For model number NED4655EW1
Hello Bret, thank you for inquiring. For this symptom you will want to replace either the Internal-Bias Thermostat part PS11741405, the Drive Motor with Pulley part PS334304, or the Multi Rib Belt part PS346995. We hope this helps.

I have a Roper dryer with timer model w10436308. The dryer heats up and works good on timed dry settings but will not heat on very dry high heat. I cleaned the contacts in the timer and they all appear to be making contact but on very dry the ca, ch connection does not show continuity. Will a new timer take care of this issue?
Hi Kimberly, Thank you for your question. Yes, in this situation you will need to replace the timer. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Our dryer has heat on the timed dry cycle, but none on the automatic cycles. Sounds like it may be the timer.
For model number RED4640YQ1
Hello Jackie, thank you for your question. It does sound like the timer, PartSelect Number: PS11773247, should be replaced. We would recommend testing the thermostats in the unit first, and if all test ok, the timer should be replaced. I hope this helps!

Roper dryer works fine on all the cycles but when it gets to cool down it would stay there and won't shut off until i open the door or move the knob to off. When in auto cycle it would not go pass cool down into wrinkle free.
For model number RED4640YQ0
Hello and thank you for writing. It certainly sounds like it could be a faulty door switch PS11741701 and/or in rare cases a faulty timerPS11773247, you should check the part(s) for signs of damage, and replace as necessary. We hope this helps. Please contact us anytime if you require further assistance.

I have changed the fuse, new heating coil, bias temp sensor, low temp sensor, high temp sensor. The dryer only gets hot on one setting of dial? If i change out the control dial all settings should work ?
For model number RED4640YQ1
Hi David, Thank you for your question. It does seem as though you have checked most of the parts that could cause the issue. It could be your timer that is the issue. You may also want to check your wiring as well to make sure that it is all still in good condition. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.
