Element not heating on flat top stove
Unplugged the range. Removed the screws holding the flat top from the front bottom (inside doorway) Unplugged the two connects at the back and removed the ground screw. 8 inch element is over heating everytime i turn it on. Low or high stays at full high burn. Does the burner need to be replaced or the control switch?

Hello Carlos, that is great question. If the element is staying on no matter what you select, you would need to replace the switch. It should run at full power all the time but it cycles on and off to maintain the desired temp. We hope this helps!

Large surface element size for this model 8 or 9 inch?

Hello George, We are glad you asked! The 2000 Watt Element is 9" in diameter. It fits the L/F and R/R. The other 1500 Watt Element PS11746043 is for the 6" in diameter and fits the L/R and R/F. We are pleased to have been able to help.
