Dishwasher would not start
Purchased and replaced the door latch (this was necessary) but the washer still did not start. PartSelect suggested replacing the Electronic Control Board so I ordered the part. While removing the old board to familiarize myself with the change out process, I noticed that the ribbon wire from the touch panel seemed loose and out of alignment. I disconnected all the wiring and cleaned all the contacts with QD Electronics Cleaner, and reinstalled the connections and focused on the proper fitting of the ribbon wire (which did not have a male fitting) with the plastic collar. I then put the dishwasher door back together and with the gentlest of touches pressed the start button and voilà. The machine started and has been running each time for the last 2 weeks. I refused delivery of the ordered ECB with the reassurance from this site that I would be credited for the purchase. Thank you . Paul

Dishwasher would not do anything
1. Turned off power at breaker. 2. Removed the six screws holding the interior panel to front panel. 3. Disconnected the power cables from the soap door and the handle release. 4. Removed the 3 screws holding the computer control board. 5. Removed the wire bundles from the board...only one way to take them off and put them back on...very easy. 6. Found two clips holding the board in place and removed the computer control board. 7. Replaced with new board into clips...and re attached the wire bundles. 8. replacing the panel control was a snap with 2 screws and the wires fit onto the control board easily. 9. Replaced the interior panel and attached the wires back to the handle release and the soap dispensor. 10. Replaced the screws for the panel. 11. Reset breaker 12. Wahlah....ran the dishwasher like it was new.

Maytag quite series 200, I use the control panel to start the dishwasher and the lights go on, but it doesn't start. I replaced door latch, shut power off at the breaker and still doesn't start. The water trickles when I start it but doesn't kick into the wash cycle, it shuts off and the lights go out. When I open the door after a couple tries it is steamy, I hit cancel and it runs and water drains but when I go to start again it does the same,

Hi Steve, Thank you for your inquiry. There are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. You will need to check the door lock and latch assembly, the door switches, the electronic control board, the control panel with touchpad, and the seal and chopper. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

We have a Maytag quiet series 300 that just developed a problem it won't start. We shut the door, select our wash options (touchpad works) but nothing happens when we push start button doesn't light up at all. The door latches; racks aren't obstructing door; drain/disposal are clear as well. Do you think this is a control panel circuit board issue? Thanks

We have replaced the door latch assembly and unit will not come on. What next? If it is the circuit board is there any way to check and see if it is bad before replacing it?

Hello William, Thank you for the question. We suggest testing to see if power is going to the control board with a Multimeter. The board its self can not be tested but if there is power going to the board and it is not powering on, it is most likely defective. We hope this helps!
