Question:

What does error code f3e2 mean on the control panel when my oven beeps slowly and constantly until we turn off the oven?

Marianne for model number TES325MQ0
Answer:

Hello Marianne, thank you for contacting us. That code is telling you the electronic control on the range detected a high temperature in the oven. This can be caused by a defective oven temperature sensor or the electronic range control board. You can test the temperature sensor (probe) with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

Question:

How do you test the temperature sensor (probe) with a multimeter?

Jim for model number KERS202BWH0
Answer:

Hi Jim, Thank you for your inquiry. To test your probe with a multi-meter. First you must set your meter to the lowest setting. Then calibrate your meter so that the needle is on zero. Disconnect the power to your appliance and then remover your sensor. At the end of your sensor, the little plug in has two separate holes on the inside. Take the probes on each end of your meter, place one in each hole. If your meter stays at zero, your sensor will need to be replaced. I hope this helps!

Question:

The broil function does not work. Bake function works fine. Could it be part # wpw10181986?

Jack for model number RF362LXSQ 0
Answer:

Hi Jack, Thank you for your question. I doubt that it is that part, but it does not hurt to test it anyway to make sure. You can test that sensor with a multi meter to make sure. However you should also test your broil element itself. It is likely that that is the part that is giving you trouble. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Can you just clean the heat sensor before you replace it completely?

Nikki

Hello Nikki, thank you for contacting us. Cleaning the oven sensor will not fix it if it is faulty. It would need to be replaced. If you want to remove it from the oven and test it at room temperature, the Ohms should be around 1080. Hope this helps!

Question:

How do i know what to change if the oven is no longer heating up? I can turn it on to heat and it gets to 115, then stops. When i feel inside, it is ice-cold. We have had the oven for about 9 years.

Lisa for model number WFE381LVS0
Answer:

Hello Lisa, thank you for contacting us. It could be the oven sensor, it could also be the heating elements, or the control board. You will want to test these parts with a multi meter to determine which is at fault. Good luck with the repair!

Question:

My oven functions and then shuts off. I can hear the igniter clicking over and over again but the pilot does not light. Eventually the oven shuts off. Seems to happen intermittently but when baking for longer periods of time. I had a service person out about 2 years ago and they changed the igniter. Oven worked for a few months then same thing happened again. I changed the igniter again last year and it worked again for a few months. Do you think this is still a faulty igniter or something else?

Jeff for model number WFG374LVS0
Answer:

Hi Jeff, Thank you for your question. It may be your igniter again that is the issue. However you can also check your temperature sensor. You can test that part with a multimeter to tell if it is working or not. If it is working, it could be your spark module that is the issue. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

Temperature not accurate after 3 1/2 years of happy usage

Opened up the back of the stove. Unpluged the sensor. Replaced the sensor. Replace the back of the stove.

The sensor that has been replaced is not what is expected. After reading all of the instructions for adjusting the temperatures, the only temp that stays steady is when we first turn on the oven to 350 degrees. That stays steady but when I turn it to 400 it slowly goes up to 425 degrees.

Oven stuck in cleaning mode

Google the error code that the range was displaying and found others with the same symptoms. Then found several people that had fixed the problem by replacing the oven sensor. I then ordered the sensor and replaced it, which fixed the problem.
