I can not reset controls. Temperature numbers blinking and refrigerator is making a clicking sound. Foods defrosted quickly.

Hi Janice, Thank you for the question. Soudns like you need a new Electronic Control Board. This electronic board manages and monitors the cooling and defrost times of your refrigerator and other functions. If your refrigerator is not cooling properly because the dispenser is flapping between open or closed positions, or there are problems with the display lights flashing, replacing your control board can be the solution. Hope this helps!

I have my fridge set to the highest setting (46 degrees) but it is freezing food and some drinks. I placed a thermometer in the fridge and it is reading 24 degrees. The freezer is set at 0 degrees and appears to be working fine. Can you tell me what my problem is?Thanks

I thought I had a damper problem but there is air coming through the vents. The refrigerator is freezing everything in the crisper section. Is the problem a defrost switch or thermostat?

Hello Billy, Thank you for the question. When the refrigerator temperature is too low cold air often settles at the bottom of the fridge in the Crisper. The temperature Control Board may need to be replaced. We hope this helps!

When ice maker fills water comes out of freezer
For model number MF12569YEMO

Hello Roland, Thank you for your inquiry. I would check first to make sure that the defrost drain system is not clogged or frozen. Check the drip pan to see if there is any water or ice in it. Make sure none of the tubes are cracked or leaking. Also check the water inlet valve and condenser fan motor. You can test the parts with a multimeter. If you are unfamiliar with how a multimeter functions, there are YouTube videos available to assist you. Hope this helps!

Is there a way to test this part. I am having a problem with my fridge always staying around 30 degrees no matter what i tell the control board to do
For model number GI5FSAXVY01

Hello Jered, thank you for your question. You can check the damper to see if its opening by turning the controls to the coldest setting. If the unit comes on, and the compressor runs, but you can't feel any air coming through to the fridge section the damper isn't opening and should be replaced. Another good way to tell if the issue is the damper, is if the freezer is working fine, and you can hear the fan motor running but no air is coming through to the fridge. I hope this helps!
