The water temperature switch was not working.
Unplugged the power cord. Simply used the putty knife to push the clips back that hold the control panel onto the washer top. Unpluged the wires to the switch. Pulled the knob off the switch. Turned the switch a quarter turn and pulled it out. Did the reverse to put it all back together.

There is a delay of seconds to one minute before the water starts to fill the tub. This is in all water temp. Positions. When water starts, all cycles work perfect. Would the water temp switch cause this delay.
For model number MTW5740TQO
Hello George, Thank you for your inquiry. The water temperature switch only regulates the temperature of the water. We would recommend checking the water inlet valve, the water level switch, the lid switch and timer first. Also make sure your fill hoses are not kinked or clogged. You can test the parts with a multimeter. Hope this helps!

We are getting only hot water, even when we set it to cold. Have check the water intake valve assembly. When external 120 vac is applied to the solenoid s, they both click open..can we assume that the switch is faulty?
For model number WTW5600SQ0
Hi Harley,
Thank you for the question. Yes I would suggest replacing the Water Temperature Switch if both cold and hot water intakes are opening.
Good luck with the repair!
