What is the size of this belt? Is this what i would need if tumbler stopped turning? If not what do you think i need?
For model number WP8547157

Hi Judi,
Thank you for your question. This part is approximately 95" long. The manufacturer does not give us exact specifications so we can only give you an approximate length. It could be the part that you need. I would suggest checking it to see if it has worn down. I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I replaced the idler arm and can't remember how the drum belt goes back on (over or under) the idle arm. Is there a schematic diagram online that illustrates the belt installation? If so, where can i find it? Thanks
For model number MEDB200VQ1

Hi Paul,
Thank you for your question. Unfortunately we do not have any installation instructions specifically for this part however I believe this video will show you how that part is installed back on to your pulley: https://youtu.be/LxooXQCin8Y . I hope that helps. Good luck with your repair.

I took apart the back of my dryer. Because it suddenly stopped drying my cloths from the morning i put them in i checked after work they were wet. I went to put back on. But nothing except a power light the time i added , once i hit start it would click. I thought maybe it was a thermister. So i ordered the part. Taking apart the back of the dryer i found a belt . I think it's a drum belt. Very long no part on it. But don't want to order it. If it isn't the piece. And now not knowing does it go on any pulley of any sort. Also found a hard plastic ring washer. Help!! thank you
For model number WED7600XW0

Hello Robin, thank you for your question. The dryer drum belt would only have to be replaced if it is broken. If the unit will not turn on, the motor does not run you will want to start your diagnosis by checking the door switch part number WPW10201785 which is located behind the front panel, and is activated when the door is closed. You will also want to check the motor belt WPW10411937 which is located around the motor area. If these parts are functioning correctly, the electronic control board might be the issue. I hope this helps!

This belt is way to tight. Is there an alternate. Runs against pulley and motor shaft.
For model number 11067082600

Hi Louis, thank you for your question. There is only this belt listed underneath your model as compatible. Belts are supposed to be tight at first because over time they loose that tightness and need to be replaced. Good luck with your repair.

Dryer would run 1 min then stop running with some heat in drum
Videos are excellent to open and access internal parts. It turned out a rat was killed in the blower fan when we first encountered the problem. This prevented the blower from turning which interfered with motor function.
This required removing drum & belt, disconnecting motor clips, blower belt, and blower housing. The blower housing needed to be disassembled. Having a 5/16” & 1/8” ratcheting nut driver makes this process much easier. Don’t try this with a wrench.
After getting rid of the rat and decomposition, we sanitized the entire housing with soap & chlorine bleach.
Reassembly was uneventful and relatively easy. We ended up replacing 4 rollers, 2 belts (drum belt & blower belt), the thermistor which was damaged as a result of the blocked blower.

Broken dryer belt and broken idler pulley wheel
Looked it up on YouTube and followed the video instructions. Repair went fine after I got the correct parts ordered from two different places before I got the correct parts. Parts Select was the only one that sent the correct parts.

No Smell Belts
I ordered a new drum belt from some un-named web site and saved 30 bucks on the new belts. The smelled like a skunk when the dryer was running. All the clothes smelled like a skunk. I then ordered your belts and got what I paid for without the smell. Being the second time in two weeks, the install was a breeze. The belt arrived a day earlier than originally thought. Thank you for the OE belts. As the saying goes, "You get what you pay for."
