I can't remove the agitator bolt. Holding the base of the agitator does not appear to hold the shaft from turning so when turning on the top bolt it seems that the shaft just turns and doesn't allow for bolt removal. The dogs need to be replaced. What could be the issue that allows the agitator base to turn free?

Hi Duane, thank you for reaching out. To replace the directional cogs, we would recommend using an impact drill to break the bolt loose. Impact drill creates the hammering effect that loosens the bolt. It can be done with a ratchet and socket if the spin basket is engaged. The directional cog for your model is part number PS388034.
