Part works great.
But I had to get an appliance repair person to install. Required removal of more than a dozen screws, not four as stated on the web, and a substantial amount of disassembly.

Element switch needed repair as did an element size selector.
I remoed the two screws that hold the element switch in place and replaced the attached wires in an identical manner as I removed them from the previous bad switch. It was easy and workes perfectly.
TURNED OFF POWER TO STOVE Removed 5 Knobs, 2 screws that held bad switch. Removed 4 screws and lifted panel up and forward to expose switches. Adjusted spring tension on knob stem to hold knob ( stem in new switch slightly smaller) removed wire from defective switch one at a time and fastened to new switch in sequence. Re

The large burner on this stove heats except when i turn the switch to "low", then the burner goes cold. When i move the switch knob to the first indice above "low" the burner heats. I suspect the switch. Is this a good assumption ? ( all other burners are working great) this is a great stove and i really love it. Other than this little problem, the stove is great. Thank you, ms ashley hall, cornelius, oregon.

Hi Ashley,
Thank you for your question. Yes, you are correct. If you are trying to adjust the switch and the burner is not responding as it should, then the issue is with the switch and it will need to be replaced. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

My burner kept heating when it was in the off position. Thinking the switch is bad?

Hello Todd, Thank you for the question. Yes, the most likley issue is a defective switch that controls the element with the issue. Hope this helps!

Hello,
Looking to purchase a infinite switch for our stove top on one of the burners. Our stove top would show that one burner is still on. I am thinking that is the problem? Thoughts? Looks like your part number is ps11744436. Looking at the connection numbers they are different. Is this the correct switch? Is there a diagram showing the updated wire connections if it is the correct switch. Your help is greatly appreciated.
For model number akt3650e
Hi Mike. The right switch depends on which burner is faulty. We do not have a wiring diagram. You will need to take note of the positions of your old switch and connection them one at a time. Thank you for your question and good luck with your repair.
