The issue i have with my oven is that the light will not light-up when the oven door is open up. My oven shows no sign of action when i touch any part of the panel where all the functions such as "bake", "broil" are displayed on the surface of the oven door.Where is this "part" located at my oven? is it in the oven door, or somewhere else? my oven fits in a "built-in cabinet. do i need to remove the entire oven in order to reach the portion where the part is located?
i am not a skilled electrician, do you think i can do it myself?

Hello John, thank you for your question. The issue is probably the thermostat on the unit or the electronic control board. If you are unable to make any selections on the control panel that is usually an issue with the board. The light issue could be a blown bulb or the door switch itself part number WP74008263. You would have to remove the unit from the wall to complete the repairs associated with these parts. I hope this helps!

I have power to the microwave and it is fully functional. However, the oven is dead. The oven light does not come on and there is no response to any press on the key pad nd no error messages. I have attempted the control locked procedure with no response. Could it be the control module? Is this a plug in module?

It is quite possible that there is a short in the control module or it could be a harness fault, to diagnose this you should contact a certified technician as it would require extensive knowledge to find out exactly where the problem is. PARTS #WP74009716 STATES IT IS FOR A MICROWAVE OVEN CONTROL AND A CONVECTION OVEN. I NEED THE PART FOR THE 27 INCH WALL OVEN NOT THE MICROWAVE AND NOT A CONVECTION OVEN IS THIS THE RIGHT PART? ALSO A SERIES NUMBER IS NOT LISTED ON MY INFO TAG ON THE OVEN. WE BOUGHT THE OVEN IN 2004
