The touch pad is acting up. All buttons are working fine. But except the lower numbers like 12345 are working ok, but 67890 are not. Do you have any idea in mind could it be probably just a loose wire on the board control? please advise.
    For model number JES9860AAW
Hi Luis, Thank you for the question. I suggest checking the wire harness to see if the harness has come loose or needs to be cleaned. If the harness is good then the Control Panel With Touch Pad, Part Number: PS11744104 may need to be replaced. Hope this helps!

Oven does not work at all. Gives code 7 and also unplug meat probe. I have never used the meat probe. Nothing on the control panel works. Top of stove is working, no problem. Cannot turn fan on with the control panel, but will come on of I have the grill attached. Help! No one in my area has been able to fix it. They do not try, just said they could not get the parts for it.
    For model number JES9860AAW
Hi Fran, Thank you for your question. If the code you are seeing is F7, it is a straight forward error and it means that your touch control panel has shorted and will need to be replaced. You can try to flip the circuit breaker off to the oven to see if the electronics will reset. The part number listed under your model number for the control panel with touchpad is PS11744104. I hope this helps. Thank you and have a great day!

Does this part solve the f1-7 code problem?
    For model number JES9800AAW
Hi Jimmy, Thank you for the question. The F1-7 error code indicates a communication problem between the ribbon cable that goes from the touchpad panel and the main control board. First I suggest checking the ribbon cable and make sure it is connected properly and there are no signs of damage to the cable. If everything is good with the cable, then either the touchpad or control board is defective and will need to be replaced. There is no way to determine 100% which part is bad, so you will have to make an educated guess but in most cases it has been the Control Panel with Touch Pad. Hope this helps!

The top element glows red on convection and bake settings while the bottom element doesnt. What could be the problem
    For model number JES9800ACW
Hi Jane, Thank you for your question. If the bake element is not working, there are some parts that you will need to check to see which one is causing the issue. Here is a link from our website that you may reference on what parts to check, https://www.partselect.com/AdvancedModelSymptoms.aspx?ModelNum=JES9800ACW&mfgModelNum=&fkMfgID=1&ModelMasterID=214501&PID=16. Keys 6,7,8,9,0 were no longer working on the control panel

Turn the circuit breaker to the range off. Pulled the range out, removed the 4 stove knobs, unscrewed the 2 black screws for each stove control. Then removed four white screws from the ends of the control panel assembly. Opened the oven door and removed the four black screws that hold the bottom of the control panel assembly. Pulled the assembly out. From the inside of the assembly, I removed the ribbon cable from the circuit board (you'll notice there's one on the new assembly). Then, I unscrewed the four silver screws that hold the circuit board in place. Carefully removed the circuit board, the 4 stove controls, slid out the 4 stove lights and popped out the 4 red stove light covers. With a nutdriver, I removed the four silver nuts that hold the black metal piece to the assembly.
With the new assembly, started by putting the black metal piece in place (4 nuts) and inserted the red stove light covers, put the circuit board in place (sliding the ribbon cable from the new assembly near its port). Screwed in the 4 silver screws, then carefully attached the ribbon cable to the circuit board. Reattached the 4 stove controls (2 black screws for each) and slid in the 4 stove lights. Screwed in the 4 white screws at the ends of the control panel assembly and the four black screws for under the assembly. Turned the power back on. Good to go!

control panel died, code F-7 kept showing on the screen with beeping
I followed the one description from another consumer, and it was basically exactly as he said. The only tricky part was removing the circuit tape from its original place. We accidentally broke the tiny plastic strip that held it because it was so fragile. Luckily that didn't seem to affect the new one staying in place once we inserted it. The other strange thing was that there was a ring of cardboard around the circuitry that we decided not to put back the way it was. Seemed strange that it was there, as it was flammable. But everything has been working perfectly since.
