Easy Repair
The fan speed control switch was delivered on the date promised - even during Covid-19! Nice going. The installation required remove of the four burner assembly and the sheet metal shields protecting the electric control components. The entire repair took less that 30 min, which included reviewing online directions.
Thanks for your help

Looking for the burner control knob assembly. Is this part the correct one for my model cooktop? Diagram shows part number cross reference part number wp4456836 replaces: 4456836. Please advise.
For model number jgd3536bs00
Hello Richard, Thank you for your inquiry. This part is the switch that goes behind the knob. For the knob itself, part W10559477 is the white knob, W10559476 is the black knob, and part#
WPW10559475 is the stainless steel knob. If you need the grommet/bezel that the knob fits into as well, part# W10559485 is white, part# W10559486 is black, and part# WPW10559494 is stainless steel. Hope this helps!

The control know will not turn. Will this part solve the problem?
For model number jgd3430ws00
Hello Ed, Thank you for contacting us. It could either be a broken knob or the knob has stripped from the control switch shaft. This will require further inspection on your end. If you do find out which part you need, we welcome you to submit a follow up question and we would be happy to locate the correct part for you. Thank you.

I have a Jenn Air gas cooktop with downdraft model number is JGD3430BS00. The motor would shut off by itself after running about 15 minutes, and motor temperature would reach to over 200 degrees. I thought the motor probably bad, then replaced with a new motor, still same issue. Now the only thing I can think of is the fan speed control switch. Is there anyway I can diagnose and make sure the switch is the issue before I place an order? Or something else might be wrong? Thanks!
For model number JGD3430BS00
Hi David, thank you for reaching out. As you have already replaced the motor, the issue could be with the speed control switch, part number PS11742668. It activates and controls the speed of the downdraft fan motor in the cooktop. You may need to replace it to fix the issue. We hope this sorts out your problem!

My Flame adjusting knob won't turn and the Flame will not shut off. Also on another knob it wont move to turn the gas on. What is the problem. Thanks for your expert advise, i'm getting hungry
For model number JGD3430BS00
Hello Roy, Thank you for the question. If you can remove the knob and turn the shaft manually and it operates normally, you need to replace the knob. If the shaft will not turn, you will need to replace the control switch. Hope this helps!
